The world is changing and so are the women and men of the world. Well, men are still the same, but it seems women have also become more like men in their attitudes and mannerisms. The infidelity quotient of the society has risen to a large degree. Celebrities marry and divorce at the drop of a hat. Married women seeking affairs has become almost a norm now.

How and why are married women seeking affairs these days? Researches have shown that almost 50% of women are into extramarital affairs. There are moms who have admitted to committing adultery after having children and there are women who have thought about it quite seriously.

If we look at scientific analysis, a nesting instinct is strong in women. They naturally like to be happy in their home, hearth and children if everything is well. However, if a woman does not get the emotional and mental support from her spouse, she either laments about it or starts seeking it from others either consciously or unconsciously.

The fact of the matter is that women cheat since they are emotionally unsatisfied. There may be factors like lack of communication, deprived or unconnected emotionality, wanting to feel beautiful and wanted which may cause married women to seek affairs. In an ideal family unit, man is one who provides the physical and emotional security to a woman. If this basic need is unfulfilled then there are chances that the relationship may break or go astray.

Unlike men, women need to be told and not just shown that they are important and wanted. Lack of romance, insecurity, depression and indifference by the man are some of the reasons why married women seek affairs.

What kind of men do women seek to have affairs with? Contrary to the popular belief, women do not seek “bad boys”. On the other hand women are looking for the ideal husband material guy who makes them feel secure, communicates with them and helps them with their emotional and financial needs without imposing any conditions on them.

Women are pretty careful about the kind of guy they choose for an affair. Most of them will go in for men who are married. This has three advantages:

• Lesser risk of STDs: men who are married are a lesser risk as far as the sexually transmitted diseases are concerned for obvious reasons

• Secrecy maintained: Married men are in the same boat as married women since they also want an affair that remains a secret. They have too much to lose if they are found out. Hence, women normally conduct such affairs with married men.

• Limited time: A married guy cannot spend the entire day and hence the situation is ideal for married woman. Since they also need to go back home a married guy will not stop them.

Women do not really have affairs deliberately or jump at the first person they meet.   IT has been observed that normally married women are seeking affairs with people they know for sometime.

Whatever the case, infidelity is not good for anyone, neither men nor women.
